Results of the Institute of Aging (IA) Mid Career Awards in Aging Competition

The purpose of the Mid Career Awards in Aging is 1) to provide support for researchers to allow them protected time to devote to research in targeted, high priority areas in the field of aging or 2) to support career reorientation of researchers who are planning to enter targeted, high priority areas of research in aging. CIHR-IA would like to encourage established researchers across disciplines and sectors to develop research in areas covered by the Institute's priority topics: healthy and successful aging, biological mechanisms of aging, cognitive impairment in aging, aging and maintenance of functional autonomy, health services and policy relating to older people.

IA is pleased to announce the results of the Mid Career awards in Aging competition. A total of 5 applications were received to the January 1, 2004 deadline, of which 3 were approved for funding [ HTML | PDF (6 Kb) | Help ]. Applications were adjudicated by a peer review committee.
