2004 Pre-Budget Consultations

Each year the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance undertakes a pre-budget consultation process. This exercise is designed to ensure that the views of Canadians are considered in the development of the annual federal budget. The federal budget is delivered each February by the Minister of Finance. Throughout the Fall, Members of the Finance Committee receive submissions and hear from witnesses about how federal funding should be allocated. Once again this year, CIHR's President, Dr. Alan Bernstein made a presentation to the Finance Committee on the future of health research. In addition, a number of other organizations who support health research also made presentations. Below are links to some of these presentations.
