News Feeds

What are news feeds?

News feeds allow you to see when announcements have been added to Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) website. With news feeds, you get the latest headline (CIHR news, research or funding related) in one place, as soon as it is published.

News feeds are often called RSS. It is most commonly referred to as "Really Simple Syndication."

How can I use them?

To get started, the first thing you need is a news reader. A news reader is software that checks the feeds and lets you read the news and announcements that have been added to the CIHR website.

Once you have selected a news reader, click on the orange button (RSS icon) for the news feed you want, copy the URL (Web page address) from the website address bar, and paste it into the appropriate spot in your news reader.

How do I get a news reader?

There are numerous news readers available. Different news readers work on different operation systems, so you will need to choose one that works with your computer.
