(2009-11-10) The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) have developed the International Research Initiative on Adaptation to Climate Change to build on existing knowledge in this area. Multi-national research teams are invited to submit letters of intent and research applications to help vulnerable populations in Canada and in low- to middle-income countries adapt to climate change.
